omgwtfBBQ. So this took me... how long, exactly? (Yeah, I know.)

This is only my tarot_challenge post for the Prince of Tennis series; once I amass enough other icons I'll do a multifandom one. And, um, as with last time? I did this all just now. ;_; (Only 'just now' took about five hours, but shut up I HAVE NO MUSE. I literally sort of sat there and slapped on random effects, pretended what I ended up with didn't look like shit, and saved it. Because it's due, like, today and I have an AP test on Fridaaaay.)

As I was saying, not up to par to your usual, as these were rushed; those who've seen your other icons and care enough to can probably tell, too. In general, nothing pops out in particular; I can't find a real preference toward any. Possibly Empress, Devil -- maybe Justice and Moon... Will expound and probably add a few more below, as now it feels more formal leaving a comment than PMing. I'll go through each and give you my thoughts -- even if, really, my opinion means nothing, as I'm obviously not in a position of skill/experience to say so. :x [001. FOOL] The text looks awkward just sitting there. It doesn't seem to complement much, really. Maybe a different font? Not sure. [002. MAGICIAN] No real specifics. ...Yeah, can't see anything *insert adjective here* enough to make comment. [003. PRIESTESS] Feels a little nebulous, though that may just be the lack of borders in general, being used to seeing them on yours. ...Can't place it, but there's something else a bit bothersome here. [004. EMPRESS] Good. I like the simplicity of the single bar. [005. EMPEROR] I think the red threw me off for a second, being used to uniforms, but it's bold, works. [006. HIEROPHANT] Simple. Nice image. Looks like something's missing; maybe it's just me. [007. LOVERS] Like the concept. Text variation gives a nice twist to the simple. Not your style, though. Maybe it's just the Rikkai/yellow? [008. CHARIOT] Almost didn't know it was Atobe when first saw it. Very simple. Glancing at text, Gladiator came to mind. n.n The redo? Pretty good for, what, a few minutes? Maybe not personally, but considering the circumstances, at the very least. [009. STRENGTH] Colours are a bit.. Maybe it's just the red eye. Had more of a "border"/frame than the others; closes it in effectively. [010. HERMIT] The upper-left yellow is random. Got the green out, good. [011. WHEEL OF FORTUNE] As mentioned, totally reminds me of your 'all your base' icon. *snort* Plus the heart. Still an amusing crop. Very simple. [012. JUSTICE] Cute. Only not. But cute. Context. Effective borders and placement. [013. HANGED MAN] Simple in a blandish way. [014. DEATH] Nice choice crop. Nice frame (like Strength). Like the broken vertical above the lettering. Colour scheme maybe slightly darker? And what was the burned? design, in the red like Rin's? Detracts from foci a bit. [015. TEMPERANCE] Interesting text/design (temperance + beneath). Unique burned? lettering. Liked colour/light on face and in hair. Lower right red works foci well. [016. DEVIL] Dunno. Like colour scheme, pretty. And the cloud things. Like text placement. [017. TOWER] Nice choice. Like "blood spot" focus for text a lot; foci are all very effective and complementary. Red and blue nice scheme. [018. STAR] Thought fluorescent pink highlighter. x3 No big enough qualms to mention, I think. [019. MOON] Nice font. Well-balanced. Not too bad. [020. SUN] Flares are pretty. [021. JUDGEMENT] Dark. o.o Stands out somewhat next to all the paler schemes used. Very interesting crop. Simple. Pretty in its own way. [022. WORLD] Like the crop. (Can't, for the life of me, recognize what that's supposed to be, though. ; Either shoulder or pile of stuff. Not that it really matters, I suppose.) Like the text and placement. Aesthetic. Okay. I would! Except I'm still waiting for posting access. And, uh, he is. Which is sort of my innate bias, see -- I would've been able to do this entire deck with Tezuka, Fuji, and Ryoma alone, but I didn't. I couldn't let go of Fuji as the Devil though, or Fuji as the Moon -- Justice probably didn't have to be Fuji, but by then it was 11 at night and I was starting to get slightly tipsy and happened to be flipping through the (manga and better) training camp chapters, so... ... also, Fuji clutching onto a fish totally constitutes justice in my world. Wow. I've been wanting to do something like this myself. Such a challenge though. Gorgeous work! LOVE LOVE LOVE Ryoma as the fool, because this is HIS journey, and the tarot is ALL about the journey of the Fool. Also loving tezuka as the Emperor, Taka as the Hanged Man, Renji as the Hermit (oh yesss), and most DEFINITELY Fuji as the Moon. Indeed. oooh, Kawamura as the Hanged Man--that's really interesting. And with all the choices for Magician (my favorite), the Yukimura choice makes me awfully smug. but of course Shishido in Falling Tower made me squee. I thought Fuji as the Devil was pretty much apt--sorry goldie--Kirihara would be a bit too simplistic a characters for that, and The Devil card needs some massive ambiguity The tennis ones made me squee. :D Of course snagging 8 and 17? thank yoU! 	snagged 2 6 12 and 24. I really liked #6. The text was bold enough to read (perhaps the best text job in the lot) and it was placed well, dissecting the action lines from teh racquet. 2's text is a little hard to read, but I know what it says and I think it fits 100%, so I love it anyway. *hops off to play with icons, for which she will give credit* (Reply to this)
